The semi-annual New York Fashion Week, also known as the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, is a fashion event which allows fashion designers, brands or "houses" to display their latest collections in runway shows.
New York Fashion Week is held in February and September of each year in New York City. It is one of four major fashionweeks held around the world (along with those in Paris, London, and Milan)
Held in 1943, the first New York Fashion Week, then called Press Week, was the world's first organized fashion week.
