End report Commission Samson

The final report of the investigation commission-Samson, on child abuse in Youth Services, is expected to be released in July 2012.

The commission investigates the abuse of children who were placed in child service care, with foster parents. 


In a preliminary report, the commission found that there had been numerous incidents of sexuel abuse, of which the majority were classified as very serious abuses.


The report also found, that in thwo/third of the cases, in which a notice of the abuse was given by the children, these accusation were ignored. 


The commission investigates all reports on abuse since 1945. Since then, 3 million children have been placed under the care of Child Services, of which most - thankfully - have not had to deal with abuse like this.
