U.S. District Judge Ellen Huvelle annouces the antitrust trial between US Justice Department and AT&T.

Last month, the Justice Department denied AT&T from buying T-Mobile, owned by Deutsche Telekom (DTEGn.DE) because they believe it would increase prices for consumers and slow down the competition and invention.

Lawyers from both sides think that the issue is unlikely to need six weeks.
