Appeal Sifiso Zulu on charge of culpable homicide

Sifiso Zulu, the Durban socialite and businessman charged with culpable homicide, appears in court after missing his first appeal hearing late September.

Zulu tried to justify his negligence by arguing that his attorney dropped the case a day before the hearing, upon which Zulu decided to skip the date and go on a businesstrip instead. Unfortunately for Zulu, Judge Yvonne Mbatha of Pietermaritzburg High Court found this explanation to be unsatisfying and 'irresponsible', warning the Durbanite to treat the court with more respect at his next hearing.

In 2008 Zulu reportedly skipped a traffic light and hit a small van with his BMW, killing two passengers inside.
