Peter Foster, a former detective charged with the murder of his wife, has his plea hearing in Lewes Crown Court. From the moment Heather Cooper's body was found in the woods near Lurgashall halfway October, Foster has been kept in custody.

Heather Cooper died as a result of a stab-wound to her throat and a blow on the head. She was a detective constable at Guilford Police Station, but was on maternity leave at the time of the crime.
