The 2012 UEFA Europa League Final turns two Spanish clubs, Atlético Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, against each others.

This game is the second all-Spanish final of UEFA's second club competition, after the 2007 UEFA Cup Final, when Sevilla defeated Espanyol.


The 2012 UEFA Europa League Final will be the 41st final of the formerly known UEFA Cup, and third under the new UEFA Europa League name.


The team that wins will play against the winners of the 2011–12 UEFA Champions League in the 2012 UEFA Super Cup.
