Trial for tragic death baby Alex -

Three years after baby Alex was killed in a car crash, the trial of 44-year-old Bonita Purtill begins. Purtill is being charged with two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, two counts of criminal negligence and refusal to provide a breath sample.  


On Thanksgiving weekend of 2008, baby Alex was killed when his parents' car got rammed by Purtill's pickup truck on their way home from a local restaurant. Baby Alex died of a severed brain stem at only four months of age.
