Patricia Blevins, 58, faces jury trial on 46 counts of animal cruelty.
Early November 2011, 111 dogs were seized from Blevins' property. According to reports they were living in deplorable conditions; amongst their own faeces, rats and sometimes even the corpses of other dogs who had died as a result of Blevins' negligence.
The dogs have been taken under the wing of Saving the Animals of Rowan (STAR) volunteers.
