The voter ID law is enforced in the state of Wisconsin.

Under the new law, citizens may only be allowed to vote with the use of 'strict photo ID' such as a drivers license or passport.

The American Civil Liberties Union are in the process of trying to sue the state because they believe it could result in residents - who have been voting for decades - to refrain from attending the polls altogether.
