Hosted by Poland and Ukraine, the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship is the premier football tournament of Europe and 16 finalist countries are competing for the title.


The 16 finalist countries are divided into four seeding pots, whereby the number one and two of each pot exceeds to the next round. At that point, the winner per match proceeds towards the next round and the loser is eliminated from the tournament.


Organized once every four years, the organizing city/country differs with every next edition.
