According to Iran`s Defense Minister, Brigadier General Ahamd Vahidi, Iran launches one of their latest satellites into space.

The launch marks the 34th anniversary of the 1978 victory of Iran's Islamic Revolution.

According to the Iran's Press TV news agency, Iran is one of the 24 founding members of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space first established in 1959.
