Anni Dewani honeymoon murder pair go on trial

Two men accused of plotting with a British businessman to kill his wife during their honeymoon go on trial.

Shrien Dewani allegedly hired Xolile Mngeni and Mziwamadoda Qwabe to participate in the carjacking at the time. Anni Dewani - who was 28 years of age - was shot dead during the incident as it happened on the outskirts of Cape Town last November of 2011. Her husband and Zola Tongo, the taxi driver, were pulled out of the vehicle.

The accused is currently fighting against an extradition ruling to Cape Town after a decision by a British judge involved in the case.
