EU Education Ministers meet in Brussels for the 2993rd session of the Council of the European Union chaired by Angel Gabilondo, Minister of Education for Spain.

Through dialogue and agreements, higher standards of education and vocational training are achieved. Attention is given to aspects such as teaching content, structure of education systems and cultural diversity of each individual EU member state.

The meeting occurs approximately three to four times per year.
