Delivering growth and strengthening societies are issues the top this year's World Economic Forum on Latin America agenda.
"Securing economic growth requires an investment in all people in our region, and will only come through shared accountability and effective collaboration between government, civil society and the private sector," said Carlos Rodríguez-Pastor, Chairman of Interbank, Peru.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) is a Swiss non-profit foundation, based in Cologny, Geneva. It describes itself as an independent international organisation that is committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
The meeting brings together some 2,500 top business leaders, international political leaders, selected intellectuals and journalists to discuss the world's most pressing issues in fields like health and environment.
The organisation convenes six to eight regional meetings each year in locations such as Latin America and East Asia. It also organises two annual meetings in China and the United Arab Emirates.
