ECB decides on monetary policy for Eurozone

The European Central Bank (ECB) Governing Council decides on its monetary policy for the troubled Eurozone.
After the meeting, the President of the ECB Mario Draghi will explain the decision during a short statement. He will also hold an interview session for journalists.
The meeting of the Governing Council takes place on the same day that the Eurogroup receives Spain's formal request for a financial aid package to support the problematic Spanish banks.
The ECB Governing Council is the central EU financial institution and meets twice a month. Its key task is to define and implement monetary policy for the Eurozone, which is currently composed of 17 European states.
