EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice-President, Catherine Ashton, travels to Brazil and Mexico to meet President Dilma Vana Rousseff and President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa. In both countries she holds number of seminars on bilateral relations between the European Union and the country of visit.
The main points on her Brazil agenda include the upcoming EU-Brazil summit, global challenges and current foreign affairs, such as the situation in Iran, Arab Spring or riots in Syria.
In Mexico, Ashton, among other responsibilities, attends the official opening of the EU-Mexico Joint Council. Concluding event of her program is the award ceremony of the international competition for children on gender equality.
