Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) meet once a month for a four-day plenary session lasting from Monday to Thursday.
During the plenary sessions the MEPs vote on EU legislation and on the Parliament's position on different political issues. Legislative work done in the committees and in the other political groups is also finalized at this session.
The agenda for the plenary session is published online after its adoption by the Conference of Presidents of political groups.
The Parliament may additionally meet in two-day plenary sessions in Brussels, up to six times a year.
