The Azerbaijani deputy minister Mahmud Mammad Guliyev leads the talks over Azerbaijan’s accession process to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

According to Mammad Guliyev the European Union, the US, Canada and Ecuador have given a green light to commence the bilateral negotiations on the matter. Japan and Norway are also on the list of possible participants in the discussion. The first attempt of Azerbaijan to join the WTO was back in 1997.

Mammad Guliyev also announced that the next multilateral negotiations on agricultural subsidies are set for February 23.
