Glyn Davies represents the U.S. at a meeting on North Korea's nuclear policy with DPRK (the Democratic People's Republic of Korea) First Vice Minister Kim Kye-gwan.
This talk is a follow-up from two previous discussions the two countries have had.
State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland claimed that the U.S. want to make sure if North Korea is ready to keep its responsibilities according to the 2005 Joint Statement of the Six-Party Talks. As agreed upon between North and South Korea, United States, China, Japan and Russia, North Korea has to orient towards de-nuclearisation.
Since then the country has undertaken two nuclear tests and the Six-Party meetings ended at the same time as U.S. President George W. Bush's time in office.
