Actress Jennifer Aniston gets her own star on the Walk of Fame awarded by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

The spot reserved for her is in front of the West Hollywood Hotel at 6270 Hollywood Boulevard.

Jennifer was born in Sherman Oaks, California. She had to move to New York City when her father accepted a part in the soap opera “Love of Life.” She found out she wanted to be an actress at the age of 11 after she joined the drama club at the Rudolf Steiner School in New York City.

For her most prominent role of Rachel in the sitcom "Friends" she got two Golden Globe nominations, five Emmy nominations and two SAG Award nominations. She was awarded an Emmy in 2002 and a Golden Globe in 2003 for Female Comedy Lead. Additionally she has a collection of five People’s Choice Awards.

Aniston has taken on the directing path as well with the short feature "Room 10" and a compilation of five short films, called “Five,” on breast cancer's influence on people’s lives. For the last one she got a DGA Award nomination.

After "Friends" Jennifer focused on bigger movie projects like: "The Break-Up", "Marley & Me," "The Bounty Hunter" and "Horrible Bosses." Her newest film, "Wanderlust," with Paul Rudd, comes out on February 24.
