The head of the IMF mission to Romania and Director for Romania with the EC pay a two-day visit to the country on invitation of the Romanian prime minister.

Jeffrey Banks (IMF) and Istvan Szekely (EC) will meet with members of the newly elected cabinet to discuss recent economic developments and implementation of the IMF program.

It is customary for the IMF and EC to visit a country from their financial program following a change of government.
