Gulfport's Get Rescued is the biggest annual fundraising event for animal rescue in Florida.


The daytime festival at Beach Boulevard is open and free of charge for both visitors and their pets until 6 pm. Training demos are offered as well as music, games, canine massages and a pet parade. Live performances will also take place, offering a chance to see the Chicago Rich, Lola & the Sinners, D'Leid Parrots and Turley Brothers.


The actual fundraiser starts only at 7 pm at Gulfport Casino Ballroom. At the price of $20, guests can enjoy dancing, food, live music, dancing, silent and live auctions, and cash bar.


Volunteers and sponsors are encouraged to participate. All donations will be given to animal rescue groups that are involved with the programme.
