March from Selma to Montgomery in commemoration of 'Bloody Sunday' takes place.
The marchers are joined by congressional leaders and activists protesting against voter identification laws and reverse anti-immigration laws in the states of Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi.
The 1965 Selma to Montgomery march became known as 'Bloody Sunday' after the 600 marchers, amongst whom was Dr.Martin Luther King, were brutally attacked by police resulting in many injuries.
