The Medical Technical Options Committee meets for an annual session.


The Montreal Protocol is a treaty created to protect the ozone layer by eliminating the production of various elements which are believed to be responsible for ozone depletion. 


The Medical Technical Options Committee meets to consider whether such elements are produced by the medical industry. It examines the innovations and medical technical developments that could be unfavorable for the ozone layer.
