The annual international marathon race takes place in Jerusalem, attended by thousands of runners who either take part in the full 42-kilometer marathon, a half marathon or a kilometre dash.


This year, the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) has called for participants to boycott the event in protest of Israel’s illegal annexation of eastern Jerusalem.
