The award ceremony for the winners of the Juvenes Translatores contest takes place.


The European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, Androulla Vassiliou, awards a trophy and a 'best translation' diploma to 27 winning students, one from each EU Member State.


The Juvenes Translatores contest for secondary school pupils is organized annually by the Commission’s Directorate-General for Translation.
