A social networking service and website, Facebook, launches its first public shares offering (IPO).


The site would opt for the Nasdaq Stock Market, in which many technology companies have their listing.


The value of Facebook is estimated at one hundred billion U.S. dollars. One share is expected to go for roughly $28 to $ 35.


Even thought the IPO is only for part of the company shares, Facebook is still expected to earn over five billion US dollars.
