The Hops Farm Music Festival is held annually with the aim to offer music without the commercial attitude around it. It thus promotes folk and independent music.


The first festival was one day long. It took place in 2008 and featured 30,000 visitors, who had the opportunity to attend a festival without sponsorships, branding, nor VIP attitude. Its success secured it a nomination at the UK Festival Award.


Past performers include big names in the music industry like Bob Dylan, Blondie, Morrissey, Prince, Eagles, and Florence and the Machine.


Vince Power, the founder of Festival Republic, which is responsible for the production of other famous festivals across the UK like Latitude Festival and Reading and Leeds Festivals , is the creator of this festival.
