Around 4,500 US troops together with 2,300 Filipino counterparts take part in large-scale exercises on the islands of Luzon and Palawan.
The annual event displays the strong military bond between the long-standing allies.
The two forces continue to work towards "a more stable and secure Asia-Pacific region.", said the American Lieutenant-General Jessie Dellosa.
