Israeli Minister reacts to call for public transportation on Saturday

Following the Israeli left-wing party Meretz's appeal to the Supreme Court on 4 April, the Minister of Transportation Yisrael Katz was given an ultimatum by the Court to respond to the claims against his office.
Meretz and MP Nitzan Horowitz explained their decision to file for an appeal, stating that Minister Katz's office rejected all requests made by local authorities to allow public transportation to run on Shabbat (Saturday).
The Israeli Supreme Court has given Minister Katz time, until 31 May, to provide Meretz and MP Nitzan Horowitz with a proper reaction to their claims.
