Myanmar's democratic leader Aung San Sun Kyi leaves her country for the first time in 24 years to visit Norway.


Suu Kyi will meet the Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg and Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere.


Suu Kyi, who is also a Nobel laureate, was under house arrest for the period Burma was governed by a military junta.


During the parliamentary by-election on 1 April her party won 43 out of the 45 seats and elected her as their leader.


Aung San pays a visit to the UK as well.
