Trial of Rwandan Genocide inciter Mugesera resumes

Trial resumes in the case of Leon Mugesera, a man infamous for his 1992 speech which allegedly triggered the 1994 Rwandan genocide.
In his anti-Tutsi speech, Mugesera demanded that Hutus take the responsibility to "wipe out this scum" and "dump their bodies into the rivers of Rwanda".
The defendant was charged with planning a genocide, inciting the masses to participate in genocide and the distribution of arms. He was charged on February 2, following his deportation from Canada in January 2012, which he had been fighting against for sixteen years.
The court hearing was supposed to take place in April but has been adjourned to give Mugesera time to prepare his defence.
