Myanmar likely launches a bidding round for onshore oil and gas, in an attempt to bring further foreign investment to its shores.
Since a civilian government took office in 2011, Myanmar has seen rapid internal change, as a result of which several Western nations have eased their sanctions.
In the first major oil and gas bidding round in August 2011, nine out of eighteen available onshore blocks of oil and natural gas were sold.
