Former media mogul, Conrad Black, is granted a one-year temporary residence permit in Canada.
Black gave up his Canadian citizenship in 2001 in order to be able to accept a peerage in Britain's House of Lords.
Black, who used to control a media empire, including the Daily Telegraph in the UK, the Chicago Sun-Times and other papers in the US and Canada, has been serving a 42-month sentence for fraud and obstruction of justice.
