Singer Beyonce Knowles

The multi-talented singer, songwriter and actress, Beyonce Knowles receives a recognition for a magazine piece she wrote, at the National Association of Black Journalists Scholarship and Awards Banquet.


The famous musician receives the first-place in entertainment and arts in the magazine category for her article in Essence magazine.


In her first story, published in July 2011, the Grammy winner shares her experiences about withdrawing from work for a while when her daughter Blue Ivy was born.


The former Destiny's Child star released her fourth solo album entitled 4 in 2011.
