The Dutch national football team plays a contractual friendly match against the possible Champions League winner German club Bayern München, following the sustained injury of star player Arjen Robben at the FIFA World Cup tournament in 2010 in South Africa.
Robben, who joined the Dutch team at the World Cup tournament while returning from a muscle rupture, had a tremendous fall back after the tournament that kept him from playing for Bayern München for more than six months.
In order to compensate Bayern München for financial loss of income, the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) agreed to play a friendly match against the German team.
The match might also be interesting for football fans ahead of Euro 2012, in which the national teams of the Netherlands and Germany will meet already in the group stage.
