Cuban President Castro's daughter speaks in the US

Mariela Castro Espin, the daughter of Cuban President, Raul Castro, speaks at the Latin American Studies Association conference in the US.
Castro Espin, who is the head of Cuba’s National Center for Sex Education which advocates for gay rights, will speak about the policies on sexual issues in Cuba.
The decision of the State Department to issue entry visa for Castro Espin, which contradicts US foreign policy, triggered anger in some Cuban-American leaders. These leaders believe that granting a visa to a defender of Cuba’s totalitarian regime, is shameful and outrageous.
“It sends a terrible message to the democratic movement in Cuba, to those brave people in Cuba who, every single day, resist and speak out against the tyranny of the Castro brothers,” said US Senator from Florida, Marco Rubio.
