Striker Didier Drogba leaves Chelsea FC after eight years spent at the Londoner football club and joins Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua. 


If the player trains with Shanghai enough before 25 July, he might find himself playing against Manchester United, which is in a pre-season tour in China.


In Chelsea's 2012 campaigns Drogba was instrumental in securing key victories, such as Chelsea's win over Liverpool in the final of the FA Cup, and played a major role in Chelsea's win in the final of the Champions League which brought the club its first UEFA Champions League title.    


Since his arrival to Chelsea in 2004, after a £24m transfer from Marseille, Drogba scored a number of 157 goals in 342 appearances for Chelsea.
