The city of Amsterdam is celebrating the 400-year existence of their world famous UNESCO protected and beautiful preserved canals in the centre of the city.

The milestone coincides with a number of other special anniversaries of monumental buildings/attractions in the city, including Concert Orchestra (125years), Van Gogh Museum (40), Artis (175) and Felix Meritis (225 years).

For all the city planners that still aren’t sure where to go in 2013, there is one city that offers a range of events, providing a taste of the rich past of one the greatest cities in the world.
