The two car makers Fiat and Mazda produce a new model for Alfa Romeo, a subsidiary of Fiat since 1986. The two companies have formed an alliance in order to produce two-seater sports cars, the first of which will be produced at the Japanese car maker's facilities. 


Additionally, the alliance will produce a roadster model with a different engine and design for Mazda. Both cars are based on Mazda MX-5, the manufacturer's most successful product.
