The lawyers of the WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, file a petition to Britain's Supreme Court to reconsider its ruling against Assange's appeal.
The implementation of the judgement to extradite Assange to Sweden has been deferred for the period of two weeks in order to actually give Assange's lawyers a space to petition against the decision.
Assange has been fighting his extradition to Sweden to face questioning on sexual abuse accusations, as he fears that the Swedish authorities might hand him to the US, where he could be prosecuted for leaking classified documents.
Rumors connecting the court ruling and the visit of Hillary Clinton to Sweden have been recently circulating.
Should the petition be rejected by the British court, Assange's lawyers vowed to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
