Verdict in Breivik case announced

The verdict is announced in the case of Andres Behring Breivik, the right-wing extremist responsible for the Oslo bomb attack and shooting at Utoya island last July, causing the death of 77 people.
The trial of the Norwegian mass killer started on April 16. Breivik never denied his actions but pleaded not guilty, arguing he was protecting his country from "Islamization".
The jury will issue its verdict on whether Breivik was sane while executing his attack, and thereby decide if he is to serve his sentence in jail or in a psychiatric ward.
