The defence of former International Monetary Fund chief and former French presidential hopeful Dominique Strauss-Kahn seeks to cancel indictment in the Carlton Affair.
Strauss Kahn has been accused of participating in a suspected prostitution ring that operated in France and Belgium. A mere month ago, sexual assault charges against Kahn were dropped following a lengthy and public trial.

The former IMF boss has named the accusations as "violent" and "unexpected" and is fighting to cancel the indictment of "aggravated pimping" that, if proven, makes Strauss-Kahn eligible for a sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of €3 million.
Due to the fact that the location where some of the alleged acts took place is the luxury hotel Carlton in Lille, the operation has been dubbed "The Carlton Affair".
