Dominique Strauss Khan's defence asks court to cancel indictment

The former IMF boss has named the accusations as "violent" and "unexpected" and is fighting to cancel the indictment of "aggravated pimping" that, if proven, makes Strauss-Kahn eligible for a sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of €3 million.
Due to the fact that the location where some of the alleged acts took place is the luxury hotel Carlton in Lille, the operation has been dubbed "The Carlton Affair".
