Queen Elizabeth II's granddaughter, Princess Zara Phillips is one of the 5 English representatives in the equestrian disciplines at the 2012 Olympics.
Phillips, 31, debutes at the Olympics, having missed her first opportunity to take part in the 2008 Beijing Games due to an injury to her horse, Toytown. This time around she will compete with a different horse, High Kingdom.
The royal athlete has proven herself by winning the World Championships in 2006. For this achievement she was awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire by the Queen. She was also picked as BBC Sport Personality of the year.
Zara is not the first in her family to compete at such a high level;her mother Princess Anne and her father Captain Mark Phillips have both represented the country at the Olympics.
