Coca-Cola returns to Burma
|
|
The Coca-Cola Company resumes business in Burma after 60 years, following the suspension of US investment sanctions against the country last month.
In the past year, Burma achieved a tremendous progress in its democratic reform, which made American, Australian and EU leaders lift sanctions against the country and renew their travel and business ties.
Coca-Cola will start the business in Burma by importing products form neighboring countries.
Burma has been one of the three countries in the world that does not sell Coca-Cola. The remaining two include Cuba and North Korea.
