After nearly three years of silence, 50 Cent releases his latest collection of material with his 5th album entitled Street King Immortal.


Originally, the album was supposed to be released on July 3 but the rapper instead decided to make a separate, digital-release-only album titled 5 (Murder by Numbers), which was made available for free download from July 6 onwards. 


The reason for the album's delay, according to the singer, is that he wanted to make sure each song was perfected. 


50 cent also stated an ongoing conflict with his record label, Interscope records, as yet another reason for delaying his album release. 


The initial title of the album was Black Magic and the rapper threatened to release the entire product for free. One of the songs, Girls Go Wild, even emerged online.
