India and Russia hold counter-terrorism exercise

India and Russia hold a joint counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency war exercise. The exercise is said to take place in Russia, along the country's border with Mongolia and China.
The exercise, called Indra-2012, involves around 250 troops from both countries and aims to learn about each other's standard operating procedures to tackle terrorists and insurgents.
Soldiers from both armies will carry out joint tasks and synchronised counter-terrorism operations.
Troops from the Indian Army will also get to experience fighting with the Russian military equipment during the special exercise.
