Deadline for Palestinian families to demolish homes

The Israeli military's deadline for 30 Palestinian families near Yatta ends on 26 June.
On 19 June, the Israeli military gave the Palestinian families written orders to demolish their houses and leave the lands east of the village Yatta. The 30 families, compromising 300 individuals, were given a week's notice to carry out the orders.
Abdul Aziz Abu Fannar of the village's municipality has stated that the families have presented the Israeli High Court with documents proving their ownership of the lands, then, according to him, ", the court...rejected their case under the pretext of security needs.”
Israel does not contest the families' ownership of the lands but claims the families did not ask for licence to build on the lands.
Abu Fannar reacted to that saying that “, Israel wants to clear those families from the area which accommodates the Israeli colony of Sosia which is under expansion."
The families say they will not comply with the orders.
