The President of Singapore, Tony Tan Keng Yam, travels to Berlin where he meets German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Germany's President Joachim Gauck.

Tan's visit to the German capital is part of a ten-day trip around Germany. During the trip, the president will be inducted into the Honorary Senate of the Foundation Lindau Nobel prize winners, which honors individuals for their contributions to academia and research. 

On his first visit to Germany from June 24 to July 3, President Tan will, besides Berlin, visit Munich and Lindau, a town by Lake Constance in the southern German federal state of Bavaria.
