Wrestler Miroslav Dykun, of Greco-Roman origin and a British national for the past five years, is forced to miss the 2012 Olympics after testing positive in a doping test.
Dykun was caught with the forbidden substance methamphetamine during the British Senior Championships in March, which resulted in a suspension from participating in any competition until 29 April 2014.
The 29-year-old has competed for Great Britain ever since gaining British nationality and was one of only two UK competitors in the sport. Following the ban, Olga Butkevych is the only English contender for a possible trophy.
Ukrainian-born Miroslav, who was crowned Commonwealth champion for England in 2010, has been stripped off his March title. So far, none of his other achievements are under scrutiny.
